1. Reporting Non-Functioning Equipment
- Personnel who find non-functioning equipment must report it directly to the laboratory supervisor
- Reports should include a brief description of the problem and the location of the non-functioning equipment
2. Emergency Actions
- The laboratory supervisor will evaluate the report and take emergency actions if necessary to prevent further accidents or damage.
- If needed, non-functioning equipment will be labeled and removed from use until repaired or replaced
3. Repair or Replacement
- The laboratory supervisor will coordinate the repair or replacement of non-functioning equipment according to the procedures established by laboratory management.
- Responsible personnel will ensure that repaired or replaced equipment has been tested and functions properly before being put back into use.
